Allen's View: MK Dons (away)

Notts County manager Martin Allen saw his side go down to ten men then lose 3-0 away to MK Dons but said after the game that the scoreline was harsh on his side.

Notts had to battle for 86 minute with a man down and although the home side did take the lead in the first half, they scored two goals late on when Allen`s men were tired.

But even though the home side made the most of their advantage in numbers, he was not going to lay any blame on defender Julian Kelly who was sent off for handball on the line just four minutes into the encounter.

'Anybody who was here would recognise that wasn't quite a 3-0 defeat - the scores will show that but with 10 men we were playing with three or four up front for the last 20 minutes,' said Allen to reporters.

'Julian has handballed it on the line and stopped a goal going in, as anybody would do. He won't get fined or disciplined for it.

'It just shows how far we've come in such a short space of time how disappointed all the players are in that dressing room. We took them on and matched up to them and in the second half we were far the better team.'
