Tuesday's performance really knocked a lot of optimism out of me. I hope for a much improved display tomorrow but am not overly hopeful. If we can get the opening goal, it could make all the difference. I'll go for a 1-1 draw though.

Not really looking forward to this one. Crewe are never easy to beat so I think 1-2.

You got that right. Mind you, another soft goal given away.

It was a strange game really. I don't remember either keeper having a save to make in the first half. We posed more of an attacking threat in the second half after Sneijders came on but you need to switch on as soon as you have scored and we failed to do that.

One thing is absolutely clear to me though: Sneijders and Collins have to start at Portsmouth.

I just hope Sheridan learns from the last eight days and gets us to play with a higher tempo. Snijders and Collins should replace Rodman and Campbell.
We've thrown points away this week and are still only a point off the play offs, very frustrating.

They're the exact changes that I would make too. I hope that JS can see what we can see.

I think what we're really missing is Curtis Thompson. He would compliment any of the midfield combinations with the work he can get through. Tootle worked his socks off today but if he had Curtis next to him we'd have kept the ball in their half of the pitch for longer periods allowing the wingers to get further forwards.
At the moment they know they're slow as a team and are reluctant to get caught out so become negative. Snijders and Collins added the pace but if you get two solid players in the middle it gives them a platform.

Tootle got caught in possession too often, but we need a dynamo in midfield. Hopefully Curtis will be fit soon.

Curtis brings energy to the team which can help to drive us forwards. Having been out for such a long time though, it will probably take a while for him to get match fit and fully up to speed.
