At least with Westley gone we should not get kicked off the pitch.

Hopefully a win for MC, 2-0.

I hope that the improvements continue and, if they do, I am sure that we will achieve our first home win of 2016. I'll go for 2-1.

1-0 but 3 points is what matters.

All of a sudden we are 3 games unbeaten. I've not checked but it must be a fair few months since we can say that. Let's hope we can follow it up with a win on Tuesday night as we will then be able to go to Mansfield with some degree of confidence.

Pool won't be easy but we should have a little more confidence now.

I really enjoyed the match last night. Hartlepool were clearly full of confidence and passed the ball really well in the opening 20 minutes. The defenders stood up to the test and we started to settle into the game as the half wore on. The second half saw us take control and a really well worked goal was totally deserved. We carved out the better openings after that and never looked in too much danger at the tore end of the pitch. There's plenty still to work on but it's great to be enjoying watching Notts again. Roll on Saturday!

I thought we just about deserved it against a decent side who played some good stuff. I'm still concerned at how lightweight we are in midfield, not one player capable of putting in a crunching tackle. It makes us a bit too easy to play against but listening to his post-match interview Cooper seems well aware of the problem.

We do not have anyone except Curtis who gets stuck in. Where is the Carlin or Harding type of player nowadays?

I haven't been to watch us since Wimbledon.

Has the football vastly improved or are we just battling that little bit harder?

A bit of both. The football has improved from awful to average, and we have a lot more fight and organisation under Cooper.

I guess the statement above Elite is null and void now!

Well and truly null and void. We are not just back to square one, we need to throw a six to even get on to square one. On the bright side, only 270 minutes of torture left then we can start building our false hopes again.
