How good an indication is the first game of how well a new manager will do? Here's a list for you to make up your own minds, in reverse order going back to the year 2000....

Dunno, but given Notts won away today, you could argue that JF has the best start of any Notts manager for 14 years (since 2002).

Not sure how many but KC won his first 2 Stevenage 2-0 and Chesterfield 1-0 we also won the next two Rochdale and Carlisle.

Both Cotterill and Curle won their opening four games (and drew the 5th), so Fullarton's got a bit to go to match them but the early indications are that he can do well in this league with this squad.

Whether or not he's got what it takes to win us promotion and deal with the transfer panel remains to be seen (Apparently they have a transfer panel at Liverpool and that is now being blamed for their current position). There should be no pressure on Fullarton to get Notts into the play-off's this season. If we miss out, then it's Moniz's fault for leaving us in the bottom 3rd.
