Come on then people, who is confident we wont be slipping up on a banana skin Friday Evening?

I'm going for a hard fought 2-3 win.

I'm confident. They'll score first, the BBC commentators will start banging on about the magic of the cup, then we'll score 4 goals and they'll revert to lines like "they did themselves proud" and "the scoreline only tells half the story".

Then we'll get someone boring like Bury in the next round and get knocked out.

I'll go for a 3-1 win but knowing Notts, they will probably make hard work of it. As long as we make it safely through, that's all we can ask for.

On the telly? We do not win.

Non-league opposition. Our track record is poor.

I'll go for 1-2 to the Pies.

I've even had a cheeky fiver on 6-0 at 100/1 with corals. I know we don't do live tv or non league teams at all well but that was in the past, this could be the start of a new era of demolishing teams on the telly.

Congrats to Salford deserved their win, we were pathetic and deserved nothing out of the game.

Ok it was a shocking performance and very embarrassing but I ain't gonna lose any sleep over it, but over on ncm they are suicidal and being drama queens once again. We made a few quid, what's done is done let's move on.

I woke up this morning hoping that it was all a dream but sadly it wasn't. Being knocked out of the cup isn't in itself the end if the world, but the performance was shambolic and doing it on national TV massively exacerbated the humiliation.

Having said that, we are clearly moving in the right direction in the league and our home form is particularly impressive so giving the baying mob on Mad what they want would be a ridiculous decision IMO, notwithstanding last night's debacle. I notice that the bed wetters had been conspicuous by their absence over the last few weeks. I'm guessing they were busy washing and drying their sheets!

Salford used everything they could do to their advantage, made pitch smaller, ploughed it all day but we wouldn't have won any game playing like that, let's just give Salford the credit they are due. I know its been a time to ignore text messages from mates especially bloody forest fans, at the end of the day it's promotion were after even though a cup run is nice, we don't have it so that's that. Calls for moniz sacking are laughable to be honest.

Friday night was utterly horrific... a game I was looking forward to turned into one I wish I could forget! But I firmly, 100% believe that our lack of success over the last 5 years has come from the knee-jerk reaction of sacking managers after a few bad results, and the lack of stability that creates.

Every single club has fans that want to sack the manager... look at Man Utd fans at the moment who boo Van Gaal because they're winning matches but not playing attractive enough football!! Let's exercise some frickin' patience for once!

Spot on Domdom. The amazing thing is that we are on a good run in the league and only last week beat Portsmouth who had the best away record in the country. We also have the second best home record in the division. I think that some posters on Mad are too busy frothing at the mouth to remember any of this. I for one genuinely believe that we will have established ourselves in the play offs by Christmas, if patience is shown.

What a absolutely rubbish performance our players put in and what was Jenner doing to that fan? Salford deserved that win on Friday and actually played some good football at times.

We now have a weekend off, hopefully Moniz gets the players in all week and we can move forward with further distractions from our charge up the league!

The people calling for the managers head will never be pleased unless we are sitting at the top of the table all season playing free flowing football scoring a full of goals and keeping clean sheets every game.
I honestly think our Munto season spoiled some of our followers and that's what they expect matter what the situation.

A lot of flak today. Not surprising after that shambles on national tv.

I still think Moniz doesn't realise that hard graft is needed, not just passing the ball. Makes me wonder what Kevan's input really is. He's been there, done it. Does Moniz listen to him?

And yet hard graft absolutely typified the display against Portsmouth. For me, there were too many players who just weren't up for it and we had real shape.

For which you have to blame the manager. I think the next few games will show if he has learned anything at all.
