Who thinks we can get a promising result out of this weekends fixture?

Portsmouth are draw specialist against the top half and are picking their wins up against the bottom half of the table.

They have won their last 3 away games.

I think we can break their streak and go for 2-0 win.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I have a feeling that we will finally get a win against one of the division's top teams on Saturday. It looks like Ben Davies is playing well for them so he will need to be carefully watched. Time for us to step up a level.

Interesting to see that Davies plays as a right back now, I hadn't realised that. He was never the quickest but we need to stop him getting crosses into the box.

I'm going for a closely fought 1-0 win for the 'Pies, although I wouldn't be shocked if we lost this one... :(

Hopefully, we will get a crowd above 7000 to witness it.

Well they are bringing a few so at least 6000.

Glass half empty on this one, I think 1-1.

They had sold about 2100 by this morning so if we can't make up the remaining 4900 against one of the top sides it will be disappointing.

Would love 3 points from this one, but I just don't know what the team is doing lately trying to shore up the defence seems to leave us lacking in the attacking flair we had and we still look very shaky at the back and don't create as many chances. Hopefully I'm very wrong but think Portsmouth will go home with the points.

One or the other, defence or attack. The midfield isn't set up to do both as it is.

Yes, while we have gained at one end(defence) we have lost more at the front, I think I've been a bit harsh on smith and concede he does a good job trying to break down counter attacks before they become a problem, aborah has got to play further up the pitch and just to throw one out there, what about Burke as def mid? He's good with the ball, I just don't think he has the vision to be a playmaker. What about Campbell as McLeods strike partner? I think he is wasted out wide imo.

Totally agree. While I perhaps shouldn't single out individuals after such a great team effort, I thought Sheehan, Edwards and Stead were absolutely superb. A huge win which should do wonders for confidence and turns the last 4 games into a great little run.

I agree about the win but Smith was not at the races today. He contributed very little, Thompson was far more effective when he came on.

While Smith's effort couldn't be faulted, it is fair to say that he made real impact and the introduction of De Silva swung the balance of play in our favour as we started getting much closer to their midfield.
