I was well chuffed to see the match is going to be on the Tuesday as I wouldn't have been able to go on the Wednesday. Still waiting for Villa to confirm ticket details which isn't giving us long to buy them. Could be a huge queue before and after the Accrington match. Really looking forward to it as I'm sure are Jack Grealish and Graham Burke.

I would have preferred to lose to Huddersfield and take 3 points off Mansfield tbh.

So would I but we may as well enjoy a cup tie at a big premiership ground as you never know how long it will be before another comes around.

Ticket prices have now been confirmed:

Adults/seniors - £17
Under 18s - £5

We have been given just over 3000 tickets which go on sale on Thursday. There aren't any priorities for season ticket holders due to the short time available to buy tickets before next Tuesday. I think I will make a special trip down to get my ticket as I suspect the queues will be huge on Saturday.

Over 500 tickets were sold today. Going to pop down and get mine tomorrow before the huge queues start on Saturday. Should be a really good following.

Game of the night and we should get decent coverage on C5's League Cup show tomorrow.
Could have done without extra time though. No mid-week game for Morecambe.

I had a ticket for the game last night but didn't go in the end due to a good friend unexpectedly passing away yesterday. It sounds like the boys did the club proud and but for a highly debatable penalty decision, we could have had the shock of the night. Let's hope that extra time hasn't taken too much out of them and we can get a good result at Morecambe.
