Carlton 0-4 Notts County

A young County side over came our most recent pre season opponents last night as we beat Carlton Town by four clear goals.

Goals came courtesy of braces from Nicky Wroe and trialist Elliott Whitehouse, and manager Shaun Derry would've been pleased with the performances of everybody on the evening, especially the youngsters.

The County side also included former player Mike Edwards who has been training with the squad to build up his fitness as he looks for a new employer this summer.

Wroe opened the scoring on the 40th minute and moments later Whitehouse took his chance to impress by doubling our advantage. Whitehouse then scored his second of the game and another trialist, Adam Dawson, turned provider for the fourth of the evening as he played in Wroe to complete his own brace.

Notts County Starting XI: Andrews, McGowan, Edwards, Tempest, A Dawson, Liang (Balmy HT), L Dawson, Wroe, Whitehouse, Murray, Waite.

Subs From: Pilkington, Smith, Noble.

Carlton Town Starting XI: Mitchell, Campbell, Guy, Troke, Torr, Longe-King, Keane, Elliott, Orenuga, Hooton, Ogedi-Uzokwe.

Subs From: Eaton, Ninaji, Ademiluyi, Ball, Kowal, Hastie.
