County 1-3 Derby
Notts County played on home soil for the first time this pre season and took on the challenge of Derby County before losing three one over the course of 90 minutes.
With County having our own battles last season as we narrowly avoided relegation, Derby narrowly missed out on the play off spots so it was always going to be a good and strong test for us, but manager Shaun Derry would've been very happy with the run out we got.
County opened the scoring on the 30 minute mark when one of our trialists, Elliott Whitehouse, scored a spectacular effort.
Our lead lasted only ten minutes though, as Derby levelled, and that was how the first half ended.
Six minutes into the first half the referee awarded a penalty against us and Fabian Spiess didn't stand much of a chance, and Derby completed the scoring on 76 minutes.
Despite the scoreline though, it was a decent performance from County and the gaffer would've taken positives from the match in terms of how our fitness and play is starting to come together now.
Unfortunately Kyle Dixon limped off following an injury in the opening stages of the game, but at this stage the severity is not known.
