Notts County need just a point from this weekends trip to Boundary Park to almost guarantee our League One status for next season, so here's the build up.
Manager Shaun Derry was first up talking on the Official Site.
He has called on the travelling fans to help roar us to the result that we want, and he knows the team will be backed by over 3000 supporters on the day.
'I can only say that when we've had the backing of the faithful at Meadow Lane, they've really roared us on. To take the best part of 3000-3500 over to Oldham is immense, it really is, and I've got to thank every one of them because it costs a lot of money to watch football nowadays.'
Derry goes on to say this season we have certainly had plenty of ups and downs and he knows it hasn't been easy for the fans, so he's delighted of late to have given them something to shout about on home soil, and he hopes they will be travelling back on Saturday with another smile on their faces.
On loan Jack Grealish has taken to the interview lark, and said that he'd already dreamt that County survived relegation on the last day of the season, so now to be in the position of making it happen would literally be a dream come true for him.
The 18 year old has had a great spell with us since joining from Aston Villa and given his performances and importance to us, it's amazing to think this is his first real taste of football and his debut season at professional level.
'It's going to be a bit emotional and if I had one way to end it, it would be to score the winner and jump into the Notts crowd. The one thing I don't want to do is end my loan spell on a bad note but I'm approaching the game in a positive manner.'
Grealish goes on to say that his dad has been repeating the mantra of 'no nerves, just go there and be positive' but that's something that the whole team are trying to do and presumably something that Derry himself has been getting across to them, because our best chance of success in the match is to play to our best and being overly nervous or anxious of the occasion won't help us achieve that.
