Bialkowski - Amends For Bristol Rovers Defeat
Goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski has said he was delighted with his performance against Crawley Town last night, as he feels he has made up for his error that helped Bristol Rovers to their second goal in our previous game.
Speaking to the Official Site following a number of saves and successful one on one battles in the game that kept Crawley well out of it, despite how often they looked like they might grab an equaliser, the goalkeeper couldn't have been more pleased at full time.
'I was desperate for the clean sheet, especially after last Friday when I was at fault for the second goal. After that I wanted to go out and be a hero so I'm glad that we won the game.'
Bialkowski goes on to say that County knew it would be a very tough game, as although Crawley themselves haven't had the season they would've hoped for, they were on a run of three straight wins as they came into the game against us.
'We knew it was going to be difficult, Crawley are a hard working team. I think we're confident now and we've got to be, because we showed great character. We played under pressure such a long time and we handled it really well. We've got two cup finals left and I'm sure we'll be up for it.'
Swindon and then Oldham to go in 2013-14 and six more points to fight for to ensure safety this season. We are now one point off Crewe, Tranmere and Colchester and by rights you would think Shrewsbury will join Stevenage in going down, so the only question is Carlisle's game in hand and what that might do to the table.
All we can do is go out and get six points and then we can't, at this stage, do any more.
