Stevens Makes Debut After Villa Move

Stevens Makes Debut After Villa Move

Aston Villa's left back, Enda Stevens, has moved to Meadow Lane on a 28 day emergency loan and has gone straight into the team to face Liverpool tonight at Anfield.

Stevens made nine appearances for Aston Villa's first team last season after joining them from Shamrock Rovers back in January 2012.

The 23 year old also tasted Europa League action with the Irish club, so he does have some decent experience.

The Republic of Ireland U21 has been given permission to play in the Capital One Cup by his parent club, and he replaces the injured Alan Sheehan.

With Cup permission being granted, as long as he does well, it could be an indication that the loan will be extended if we so wish.

Team for Liverpool:

Bialkowski, Dumbuya, Liddle, Smith, Stevens, Bell, Labadie, Campbell-Ryce, Fotheringham, McGregor, Arquin.

Subs:

Spiess, Thompson, Tempest, Boucaud, Coombes, Murray, Nangle.
