'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hollis Delighted To Extend Stay

Defender Haydn Hollis has said he's determined to hit the ground running and show fans exactly why the club offered him a new deal.

Speaking to the Official Site after agreeing a three year deal, Hollis said he wants to really make an impact in the first team this year after tasting it last season.

'It shows that the gaffer has confidence in me by giving me three years and it's exactly what I wanted as a Notts lad. It's a level playing field so my aim is to work my way into the team. I'm going to come back in the best shape possible to give myself the best chance of gaining that first team spot, as I'm not here just to sit around. I've had a taster and I know this level is not beyond me, but I've got to prove that to the manager.'

Hollis says that whilst he knows the gaffer will give him chances, he has to earn that by his work on the training field and then by performing when the chance comes along.
