Kiwomya Pleased With Performance, Not The Result

Chris Kiwomya has said his first game in charge was very frustrating because we did everything but score against Stevenage.

Speaking to the Official Site following the 2-0 defeat, our second away defeat in four days, the caretaker boss said.

'I think we had more shots, more crosses but you can have as much as you want, because, at the end of the day, it's about putting the ball in the back of the net. We had a lot of half chances, crosses, corners and freekicks, but we just couldn't get anyone on the end of them. It's very frustrating but it's been something that's the problem with us and we need to start turning those chances into goals.'

Another thing that did please Kiwomya on the night was knowing the disappointment of the players following the previous staff leaving, but he was pleased how they picked themselves up for him and how committed they were on the pitch.
