Trew To Tempt Ex England Gaffer

Despite agreeing another year at Bradford City Peter Taylor, the former England, Gillingham, Leicester, Hull City, Crystal Palace and Wycombe manager was heavily linked with the County hot seat before Cotterill's appointment.

According to rumours before the weekend he is a contender again with a clause allowing him to talk to a club from a higher division. Perhaps another key tit bit here is that the Chairman is thought to be keen on a CV from a former England manager with a proven track record.

Cotterill did an outstanding job, yet few managers would have failed in his position given the embarrassment of riches he had to pick from. The challenge now begins and Peter Taylor or Colin Calderwood would be the better options to take the club forward.

Peter Taylor's CV

This will be Peter's 25th year in management since coming in low and at an early age. He has gone from Dover to the heady heights of the England job itself, albeit just the one game, winning silverware at every level.

His coaching and tactical skills are renowned as are his contacts and understanding of the youth set up at the very top of the domestic game. Bottom line, he has achieved 5 promotions in the last decade.

Please mate. This story is rubbish. Trew said yesterday that he isn't going for Taylor due to the compensation that he would have to pay. Read NCM where he has spent hours responding to messages about the new manager (giving lots of hints - he was really impressed with Ince, and also hinted that Clapham would return as Ince thinks he is a good player).

Give them a break upies1234. They are not NC fans and are just trying to keep the site open. You could always give them a hand by doing some stuff yourself.
